Woodbridge, VA: As of January 15, 2026, QED Enterprises, Inc. (QED) has successfully completed the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Level 2 (C3PAO) with a perfect score. C3PAO means that QED has been certified by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization, and has successfully implemented all required controls, can demonstrate evidence of compliance, and is operating those controls effectively over time.
Kristin Witte, Chief Operating Officer of QED stated, "Securing CMMC Level 2 C3PAO certification with a perfect score is a remarkable achievement, particularly for a small business. This certification demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity practices and our readiness to bid on and execute Department of Defense contracts under the DFARS clause 252.204-7012."
Witte further emphasized the company's foresight, noting, "We recognized the strategic importance of CMMC compliance early on. We proactively positioned ourselves to meet these rigorous standards well ahead of the anticipated Phase 2, expected to be mandatory in November 2026. This forward-thinking approach sets us apart in the small business community and underscores our dedication to serving our clients with the utmost security and professionalism."
QED distinguishes itself from many small businesses still adapting to new requirements by offering full CMMC Level 2 compliance. This capability enables QED to serve as a dependable partner and subcontractor for large and mid-size prime contractors on Department of Defense (DoD) projects. Our readiness for these stringent cybersecurity standards provides us with a significant competitive advantage in the defense contracting landscape.
